Batu Ferringhi Sidewalk Bazaar (Batu Ferringhi Night Market), Penang State

Batu Ferringhi has many established world-class resorts together with specialty restaurants and shops. One of the most thriving and attracting tourists mass is the famous roadside night market at Batu Ferringhi road, the Sidewalk Bazaar. The Sidewalk Bazaar operates everyday about 6:00pm to 12:00am.

Everyday in the evening, traders from the Penang Island gather at Sidewalk Bazaar to set up their stalls under colorful canopies. The string of stalls stretches all along the way from Shangri-la’s Rasa Sayang Hotel to the Casuarina Hotel. Tourists are attracted to Sidewalk Bazaar because the cheap merchandises. Tourists are often here to take the opportunity to buy cheap souvenirs from the operators of the many souvenir shops. Apart from souvenirs, there are variety of stalls here selling local food, clothing, scarves, VCDs, DVDs, designer apparels, leather bags, watches, wallets, belts, woman accessories and so on. Although the prices from stall to stall are more or less no different, but you may try to bargain with the traders to get your best deal.
