Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park

Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is just a stone’s throw away from the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park. It is also one of the ideal places to get away from the busy Kuala Lumpur city and commune with nature atmosphere.

Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park houses over 6,000 butterflies from 120 exotic species roam and fly freely in a close imitation tropical rainforest environment. This rainforest is created using more than 15,000 plants from some 100 species painstakingly landscaped to resemble a Malaysian rainforest atmosphere and the butterfly’s natural habitat. The featuring uniquely design is the hydro-pond built with a limestone path surrounded by gazebo, commanding a breathtaking view.

Visitors can experience the life cycle of the beautiful butterflies and mating habit of the butterflies. There is a nursery and breeding area for the butterflies, as well as an informative insect museum to enhance visitors’ knowledge about these creepy-crawlers. Comprising the beautiful landscape are flower and fruit plants and some rare herbs essential in the diet and pollinating activities of the butterflies.
There is also a souvenir shop near the exit selling lots of local handicrafts and framed butterflies and beetles. Visitors can enjoy a glimpse of butterflies at this unique park!

Admission: RM5 for adults, RM1 for children, RM15 for non-Malaysian, and RM1 for Camera.
